"Nubble Light House"

Nubble Light House
8 x 8"
oil on 1.5" thick gallery wrapped canvas
Sold

 painted sides
This is a 'small size' study of Nubble light house painting before I paint it on a large size canvas, I mean large, it is really LARGE - at least it will be the biggest size for me so far! You will see when I finish it. The final painting won't be like this scene but will be more challenge for me. I just want to use this little one to warm up a little bit...

"Up Close"

Up Close
8 x 10"
Oil on gessoboard

This is my entry to this week's "The Up Close Animal Challenge". I didn't crop the rhinoceros' face as close as the challenge required, hope it is still count because I really tried hard to paint the face to bring out more "lovely" part of the rhino.

"Pink Bikini"

Pink Bikini
6 x 12"
oil on 1/4" gessoed board
Sold
What a great "model" at beach for me to paint! This beautiful lady has a very nice body, she was seating next to us, and with her baby twin boys--can't believe she got her shape back so well! ...I have to say that some people are just born that way.
There are more hot bikini paintings to come!

"Stay Closer"

Stay Closer
4.75 x 12"
Oil on gessoed board
Sold

This is my entry to this week's DPW "The Lying Down Challenge". It is a great challenge again for me because I get chance to practice painting figures. I have to say that painting the skin tones are really difficoult! But painting the people at the beach on a sunny day are also making them very interesting. Lots of opportunities for me to find "free models" on the beach during this season - Lucky me!
I want to mention that I am so grateful for artist Karin Jurick - Her style and concept of painting are the most inspiration in my paint works.
