"Porcelain Spoon"

Porcelain Spoon
5 X 7"
Oil on Wood board

This ONE color (burnt umber) value challenge is really not as easy as I thought! I never paint with one color and without white before. In the middle of the painting process, I tried to give up this challenge few times...but I didn't. Now here I am, very satisfied with my final resource. Thank you Carol for this very challenging subject.

"Tiger Eye Kitty"

Tiger Eye Kitty
5 X 7"
Oil on Wood board
I love this kitty's beautiful eyes, so cropped off more fur and background to just focus on its "tiger" eyes.

"Brussels Sprouts"-Vegetable Series

Brussels Sprouts
6 X 6"
Oil on Wood board
These baby size cabbage-like vegetables are so cute! When I paint them, feel like painting a group of soldiers in camouflage.
I know them from my husband. He is a big fan of this. I like the bitter flavor in it. As long as they are healthy for us, I love to have them once in a while.

"What's Next?"

What's Next?
3.5 X 6"
Oil on Board

This is my VERY FIRST self portrait! I painted for DPW's weekly challenge. I call it "what's next" , because I feel like everytime when I complete a subject, a challenge, "what's next" will come into my mind. Thank you Carol for this great challenge! So, what's next?
