"Couple@Museum"-1

Couple@Museum-1
6 x 6"
oil on 1/8" gessobord
Sold
I was just going to paint a series of paintings about the couples in the museums, and this week's DPW challenge is "The Seated Figure Challenge", suggesting everyone to using the surrounding "architecture" to help to accurately and more easily place the figure within the sence.
This is my first entry of the challenge, the couple in the painting are taking a short break at the museum's cafeteria by the window. I love the way that the tables and chairs surround them, also the light from outside makes them even more "outstanding".

I have few more paintings to come, please stay tuned.

Winter is the best time to go to the beach for me, not too hot seating on the sand (because I don't swim), don't need too much sunblock. This little access to the ocean is from the local beach we alway go to, I want to call it "sandal path"--just relax your mind, walk on the warm sand with your sandals, it will take you closer to the "paradise", the fun is ahead!

Next Monday (Jan. 23rd.) is Chinese New Year - the year of Dragon! Very special powerful year to everyone. In this year, using some chicken or birds decorations around you will bring more luck to you in the year of Dragon - because in Asia, birds represent Phenix, Dragon and Phenix together are auspicious.
I painted this scene of seagulls' soaring between the ocean and sky to wish everyone success and prosperity in the new year!
