This is my entry of "Year End Challenge" on "DSFDF" . I am so glad to have this beautiful artist's high quality photo to paint. I love her blue eyes the most. When I was doing this painting, I tried to focus on her beautiful skin. But after I finished, I was not very happy with the way it shows. Anyway, this is my first time done people's portrait, I learned a lot from this practice. Hopefully she will be satisfied with my painting.
Happy New Year to everyone!
Hi Joanna--Thank you so much for painting my photo. It is so-o-o-o good. You really are a good portrait painter. My husband, my youngest daughter and I were amazed at the job you did. I have enjoyed this challenge. I have been following the DSFDF blog for a while, but this was my first challenge that I participated in. I can't wait to do more. I also want to do some more portraits also. My youngest daughter has been after me to do one of her in her Alabama "Bear Byrant" hat. So that is my next one. Thank you again so much. If you want to trade the originals, let me know.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful job, Joanna! Love the painterly feel. The reflection on the glasses is a very nice touch. You should definitely do more portraits!
