"Girls on The Bench"

Girls on The Bench
8 x 8"
Oil on Board

This small painting took me more than 3 days to finish. I thought that it would be easy to paint white dress, but I was wrong! Anyway, I need to practice more in the future. I just love the kids in classical dresses.

  1. It's beautiful, Joanna! The whites are lovely--I love the blue shadows, and also love their feet! So charming!

  2. What a lovely painting! I really like the way the whites of the girls' dresses shine in the sun, and the way the shadows fall over them. The dresses of the girls in the previous post are also yummy, swirling in the breeze and with their walking. Beautiful.

  3. Hi Joanna,
I love your paintings, all of them.
This one is so lifelike, the dresses, the gestures, the wall in the background, all details are wonderful.

  6. I think 3 days to finish is super fast for such a well done painting (I would have allowed myself a week!).
Charming and natural study and the lighting captured beautifully.
